Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ.

You're right....

After reading many of your other posts, I think we agree more often than we disagree. I nearly always prefer older vinyl to a CD re-release made years later. And I also like the sound of modern, well mastered CDs that were originally recorded digitally. Furthermore, I believe I now understand what you mean about attenuated high frequencies in vinyl. Yes, the vast majority of vinyl has never satisfied my desire for high fidelity. That’s why I bought so many audiophile pressings with extended highs and wide dynamic range in addition to low distortion and realistic sound quality. Much of the music I like most was recorded years ago when vinyl was the main consumer format. I love the convenience of CD and I’m so happy that it finally sounds just as good as vinyl because I much prefer to listen to vinyl via CD-R copies.

Best regards,
John Elison
