> > points.You're talking about an instant in time. All it takes to perfectly reproduce any waveform is greater than 2 points per samples - 5 and 8 samples just represents the fact that the sampling rate is actually much higher than needed for those those particular frequencies.
There are arguments that on can make on why digital is not as good as analog but the argument you are proposing is not one of them.
