Vinyl Asylum Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ. |
|
A retailer in my area recently bought a stock of about 250,000 LPs from a local mail order seller that has retired. The LPs were all bagged and shelved in good storage conditions. No idea how much money changed hands. The buyer is a bit of a bandit, IMHO. I've talked to guys that used to work in his store. When someone brings LPs in, he'll feel them out and if he thinks he can get away with it, he'll tell them that the records aren't worth anything, but they can leave them with him if they want and he'll get rid of them so they don't have to carry them back out to their vehicle. Now that he has such a huge stock, he'll be even harder to deal with and more people will get the "they are worthless" line.
