I too have been unable to find ANY replacement belt to make my 698 run properly..and yes, the replacement belts available make mine run fast too. I know its not my TT because I have a NOS belt and this works perfectly. One of the other replacement belt guys even had me send him my NOS belt as well as a NOS replacement that didn't work (it was a different version I think the db208??I'd have to check it...only worked at 45 speeed!) Anyway after going back and forth and wasting tons of postage, they never sent me a belt that actually came close to working but swore that their belts did work and I was the only one with a problem. I could also not tweak it satisfactorally with the speed adjustment control. The belts they sent weren't the same in texture, elasticity or thickness.
So I don't have an answer but you are not alone..I'd love to know if there is a solution.
Cheers
Chris

- SKEPTIC is absolutely correct. There was an export model where the actual platter diameter is changed not the pulley.. - Ray-o-Stat 07:39:29 05/12/07 (0)
