No, I don't think you're misunderstanding. I just wasn't sure which tracks you were referring to. The tracks on side one are supposed to be used to set anti-skate. The last one, the +18dB track is usually called the "torture track."On side one, see if the Pearl can track the first anti-skate track (+12 dB) without distortion. Then try the +14dB track.
