I had to deal with the same problem just recently. I think Rek-O-Kut designed the 120 for a specific cartridge or cartridges with identical distances from the mount to the stylus. Any longer or shorter cart results in misalignment. I built an adjustable base and made an adapter that allows the cart to be angled slightly in the headshell. Neither change is permanent, so the arm, in that respect, can be returned to stock. I can try to post photos if that will help or I'm in SLO county and you could PM me.
