It was those type of threads which helped me learn and stimulated me to move up the line as my $$$ would allow. Now, I'll catch a lot of flack for this statement. But i wonder if VA has become stagnate? IOW's, is there anything pushing anyone towards the SOTA vinyl playback? Or are vinylholics here, happy with vintage TT's with no desire to move up from there? I'm not trying to knock vintage or Technics, et al. They are fine TT's in their own right. But there is so much more available.

That said, I must be careful not to give the illusion that it is a good thing to get caught up in the constant upgrade path and never being satisfied with the system. It is a good thing to be satisfied. I've found that audiophilia will enter at some point anyway, even if you are satisfied. Maybe its a man thing, or just human nature to want to change something, even though its seems to function well.
