Hi
Over the last couple of years I have been using a Dynavector 17DII Karat. This is a cartridge that offers great value for the dollar. The minimal cantaliver design that Dynavector uses in the Karat is a pet project of the companies founder, that has been refined for many many years. It offers a level of detail and resolution that is hard to beat. Yet the Karat is still smooth and musical. The only drawback to this cartridge is its low output. It is down in the .20 mv range. So you need a phono pre amp that has some gain. Also to get better in the Dynavector line it starts to get really expensive! I believe you have to spend at least another $600 to move up to the next level of cartridge.Regards
