Are you absolutely sure that the Rega arm/VdH re-tipped Linn Asak is setup correctly? With any line-contact stylii the setup effects dramatically with stage width, depth and body. And since you mentioned that the Orbe was new maybe you haven't given it much time in getting it optimised just yet?I have a GyroSE + SME V + Benz M09 (with an FGII line-contact stylus) and getting the correct VTF/VTA/anti-skate is absolutely essential for the correct rendition of the stage. And to set these right the foundation (the Gyro's bounce and absolute levelness) has to be done right before the arm/cartridge combo will give you their money's worth.
