OK, so it was bound to happen sooner or later.
I tweaked the cantilever on my Dynavector 10x4 during install and toasted it :(
First time I've ever done this in 20 years and it had to happen just as I'd bought the ORBE and shelled out lots of cash upgrading the reast of the system (added a great phono stage and an additional power amp).Anyway, I'm not sure if I want to repair the 10x4 or just upgrade the cartridge.
Any recommendations for great cartridges under $1000?
I'm using a Van Den Hull re-tipped Linn Asak at the moment which works fine, but it's just not '3D' enough for me.
I have an ORBE MK 11 and a fully modified Origin Live RB250.
I also hate brightness in any shape of form, so don't recommend Rega cartridges to me ;)
