Perhaps I read into them as harsh initially.My point is not to have my hand held, nor my ass wiped. Just common courtesy from the seller/buyer...ESPECIALLY the seller, if he/she is ready to sell their product. No more, no less.
I appreciate a quick, honest, no frills transaction and over the past couple of years have enjoyed many of them with ebay. However, for the many good, great, excellent deals I've enjoyed...shitty ones pop up now and again. There is always a crook in the crowd...and perhaps the crook IS the one that will go over the top to make you feel comfortable about the deal with pics, accolades, and other BS.
My point was only that a certain "customer service" should be offered even without brick and mortar...especially without brick and mortar. I need to rest assured that I am sending my money to someone who will take care of me with product. If you doubt there are shitty deals that go down, take a quick look on the discussion forum at audiogon. The disputes are settled with input from others on the board. They are public knowledge and there is a bunch of them.
