who cares about being part of your "community". I buy and sell on ebay and have an impeccable record. I have yet to be screwed and only left one bad feedback due to late payment and no communication after many tries.Now as to kissing anybody's ass, kiss mine. If you want to buy my item, buy it, if not, get lost. I could care less about how you feel. This is a business transaction, not a love fest. I already have all the friends I want. Business should be handled professionally, politely and expiditiously. Too many people want to e-mail questions that could be answered by picking up a brochure or going on line. Those people rarely end up buying, just annoying.
I rarely send a seller an email, especially on a multi hundred dollar purchase. If they can't describe it properly, and include a photo, I dont buy it. I describe my items completely and accurately but dont repeat the brochure stuff. In other words, I describe condition, not features. I know sometimes descriptions may be a little fuzzy on some aspect and I am happy to clarify, but I am not the public library. What I am is honest. I would never send an item COD nor request that of someone else. Escrow, however, is a reasonable request, but I have never used it so I dont know enough to comment. I would wonder what happens over disagreements about condition. It is easy for a buyer to suffer buyer remorse and all of a sudden self determine that the description was slightly incomplete.
What really pisses me off is non paying bidders. Why should I have to bid against these people, driving the price way up. I have seen a marked increase in relisted products due to non payment.there, now that I got that out, I can have a nap.
