At the recent Stereophille show, I compared all the systems that had tables and cd players. The outcome wasn't even close, no matter what price point, turntables were the hands down winner every time. The margin wasn't even close. When I asked manufacturers or dealers that didn't have a turntable and were only using digital why, each and everyone said convience and yes, turntables do sound better than digital. At this point in hifi evolution, this is a no brainer.
To be fair, I heard some great systems that were digital only.
