After a bit of misdirection, Bruce T asserts:
"There are four different arm wands. The 2 aluminum versions had a different heat shrink coating otherwise being identical. The coating thickness varied starting just behind the headshell. There was a slight difference in the heat shrink color as well. The magnesium arm wands had no heat shrink at all. One was a straight tapered tube and the other had a step for the last 1.5 inches."
"The only difference is the type of wire used. The vinyl jacket would be copper and the metal braided version is silver if the wire close to the cartridge clips is yellow."
