Re: ET-2 Arm Wands

My ET arm has the metal braid shielding also. But the cartridge clips on mine were pretty beat up, and the shielding braid was frayed. I ordered a new wiring kit from ET and threaded it through. Actually a friend helped with this project, but no matter it still was a pain. The new harness also had the metal braided shield, and the yellow Cardas wire. We had to pull the foam out of the tube before the harness could be threaded through. Then getting the pins through the opening took alot of patience, since they won't fit together as a bunch. Then the foam and dampening was repositioned, and I was back in business. The price for the harnass was $25.00, and seems to me to be quite reasonable. I remember when I called Well Tempered about rewiring my WT arm. The price was $200 for a refurbish, but that included new monofiliment, and new RCA's. So to me the 25 clams on the ET was a steal. Actually I have had to refurbish this arm, with a new mounting base, and counter weight cap and arm. My whole expenditure for parts has been 85 dollars. So for a used ET 2 I have $385 into it. And this ain't a bad arm for that kina cash.
