Anyone DIY A Stylus Guard?

The stock cartridge guard on my Dynavector 17D2 is a definite hairy shirt kinda thing. I would like to replace it with something that isn't so damned dangerous to use. Anyone build a DIY stylus guard? If so share your insights!
