Hi Teres owners,OK, so I will probably order my Teres this week. I like the look of the wood base (in the "standard" teardrop shape) and I am a cabinetmaker so I will get started on it while I wait for the rest.
1) Will they send me a template for the shape of this base and the armboard?
2) How thick is the base and approximately how long & deep. I'd like this info so I can hunt down some nice wood! I have some mahogany, some walnut, and some cherry on hand but I might try to find something more exotic.
3) I think these wood bases are filled with steel shot, right. Will Teres offer up any info on the location of the holes, etc. for this?
Right now, I'm planning to try a Moerch with this turntable. Any thoughts on that or other tonearms to consider? (thanks to John for all his insights). I have a Rega 300B (stock) now.
I could go about $1,000 or so for a tonearm (new or preferably used).
Just for reference, for now at least, I'll be using a Glider 2 HO. Other stuff is Bottlehead Foreplay & Paramour 2A3's and Isophon horns.
Thanks,
Mark
