setup jig to be used to allow the table to be at a 90 degree angle when it comes to spring adjusts. The Linn LP12 setup instructions state about the plinth being level while making the adjustments and doing other work underneath from an upright position. Also I know a Linn certified LP12 setup technician that never did what you are saying due not stressing the springs.I know of others that used other types of supports to do work on their LP12 turntable but always with the table in a upright position never on its side.
Now, it may be done IF you were going to upgrade the LP12 before you put the new springs in. But for adjustments and P-Clip cable addressing, it should be leveled.
