My man cave has a concrete floor. Footfalls aren't an issue.
It doesn't matter what kind of TT I use. I recently picked up a Kenwood KD-2055 which is unsuspended, and I've got all these old Dual changers hanging around. They're suspended but it's entirely different from the AR XA. The entire mass of the mechanism, plinth, motor, etc. is suspended.
It's just not something I ever gave much thought to. If there was a turntable I was interested in, suspended or unsuspended didn't really enter the picture.
