I couldn't find a picture of the actual Cosmos Eclipse. SOTA really needs to correct their website and put out current pictures. I think they're really missing the boat now that they have some exclusive features that no other turntable manufacturers have. Their website needs to reflect SOTA's new features.
SOTA's new 3-phase AC synchronous motor really makes a significant improvement in performance and sound quality. I know this for a fact because I replaced the stepper motor on my SOTA Millennia with Phoenix Engineering's prototype Condor 3-phase system and it made a significant audible improvement. The noise floor receded and clicks & pops became much quieter. It really made my SOTA Millennia sound noticeably better not to mention keeping perfect speed.

I've never heard their new magnetic bearing, but I was told it also made an audible improvement in sound quality.
Advertising is very important, especially when there are real improvements to back up the claims and this is now the case with the new line of SOTA turntables. However, SOTA needs to revamp their website and start advertising in the audio magazines like VPI. Now that they have some real performance enhancements, I believe they have the potential to surpass VPI in sales if they would do what it takes to make people aware of these new enhancements.
Best regards,
John Elison
