The Acos is a real sleeper tonearm. Very good, that is. What model Denon is that? I own a DP80, which I pretty much don't use, but I am loathe to sell it for the same reason you give; the market value of the Denon brand is ridiculously low compared to its performance level.
Your DD turntables will hold up forever (or until the bearings are ground down sufficiently), so long as you make sure the capacitors have not gone leaky. I owned a SOTA Star Sapphire III with vacuum option, for a very long period of time in the 80s and 90s, as my only turntable.
I keep four different turntables up and running into two completely different systems, because it allows me to hear different cartridges at will, which is what I tell myself and others, and because I cannot bear to part with any of them, which is my dirty little secret.
