RE: rubber bells, rubber bells, it's christmas time in the city

I have heard all sorts of criticisms of the mechanical integrity of the Pink decks, but I've never heard of the aerolam subchassis warping - as you say, this is a super-rigid sandwich material from the aerospace industry that will break if you put enough (read huge) stress on it, but is pretty much incapable of wilting the way you describe.

It would make a lot more sense if it were indeed the Tarantella you observed to warp, since this was mainly made of perspex. Aerolam was only used in the older decks such as the original PT, the PT TOO and the Export, with their "fruitbox" style plinths. The Tarantella was indeed one of the last products PT released before they went under.
