RE: rubber bells, rubber bells, it's christmas time in the city

My memory is full or mistakes I have found as I age. I am older than you I think so I was very much around in the 1970s. In fact I briefly owned a Pink Triangle in the early 1980s. Nothing wrong with the turntable but the arm I bought with it ( a Zeta) had sticky bearings and it was easier to return the whole lot to the dealer rather than split the purchase.

The two pictures are of a Pink Triangle and what I think you may be referring to , the Pink Triangle Tarantella. However you can see its chassis is made from acrylic not MDF. You can see the black glass top plate of the Pink Triangle turntable.

The Pink Triangle used Aerolam for the subchassis and you can see it in the picture as the tonearm is mounted directly to it ( it looks a bit like what we might think was carbon fibre rather than the aircraft purposed aluminium that it is).
