The beauty of most tonearms is that you can alter the offset angle by skewing the cartridge in the headshell. That is certainly one part of the equation. However, the pivot-to-spindle mounting distance also must be readjusted to achieve a desired alignment. Most of the SAEC tonearms are so far from the correct mounting distance that simply skewing the cartridge in the headshell will work for only a couple of the SAEC tonearms. The others require remounting.
The WE-8000/ST is very close to Löfgren A (Baerwald) as it stands and the WE-407TM is also close enough that it probably doesn't need to be remounted. But the WE-308N and others will require remounting at the proper distance to achieve Löfgren A (Baerwald) by skewing the cartridge in the headshell.
Best regards,
John Elison
