Oops, I failed to explain the origin of this preamp. It started several years ago as a breadboard summing amplifier to place in front of my normal stereo preamp to play vertically encoded Edison diamond discs. The experiment worked well. In the vertical mode I could play Diamond discs and in the vertical mode I could play 78s and other mono records. Of course you can play laterally encoded monos through your stereo preamp but summing the channels gets rid of the vertical component.
As I got more into this old record thing I decided that I wanted a choice of most of the eqs that one would encounter. I then completed the design and packaged the circuit into something which I would be willing to place on my stereo shelf.
The case is a wooden box which I found at Michael's crafts and liked.
At this time the schematics are not in a concise form. After I get that taken care of I will get it copyrighted (advise of the intellectual property guy at work) and post it in the event anyone wants to build a copy of this thing for personal use. Naturally if someone would want to build and sell these things I would like a piece of the action.
I have been talking to a circuit card designer about doing a board layout.
If there is sufficient interest and it looks like I can at least break even I may offer boards for sale.Phil
