Hi Jonathan,You'd better keep the air supply incredibly clean, with plenty of filtration. A friend had the Air Reference once and had problems with the arm movement. It takes little to hinder proper operation. He lived near the Ocean, not in the middle of a dust bowl, so you wouldn't think that it would have been an issue. Do you have a good air filtration system built in, or a portable HEPA system? That seemed to help his. You may also wish to keep the armtube covered with a microfiber cloth when not in use.
He eventually sold his for the Sirius II (no problems) and now has the Tube Research 'table.
