thanks doug...well, it's going to cost me about $450(musical surroundings offers a 10% "oops" policy for numbskulls like me who bust their carts within a week of purchase)and i've decided to go with it. I know that $500 will get me a pretty decent cart, but will it be better than the ref2? hard for me to believe. the ref2 sounded really nice in the very short, pre break in time i had it. from what i've been told and read, the scout can really benefit from this cart, (although that's as high as im going to go) so since i already own it, might as well go for the retip.
my dealer has graciously offered to put something else in while im waiting, so hopefully won't have be without vinyl for long. cd's just ain't gonna cut it...
