Obviously only you can make this decision, hopefully Musical Surroundings will help ease the pain a little.

FWIW I'd be careful about going too far up the cartridge ladder, unless you're prepared to upgrade table and arm in the future as well. I recently had the opportunity of mounting my Shelter 901 on three top quality arms (Basis Vector, Graham 2.2 and Schroeder Reference, all in a very high end system). That revealed two things very clearly:
- on the right arm and table the 901 is indeed world class,
- my OL Silver, even modded and tweaked to the hilt, isn't.
Now we're saving our pennies for a Schroeder, and that's a lot of pennies.
