I have a 6 month old 309 arm & noticed that the OEM SME screws that attach to the board (VPI acrylic) are already quite oxidized. I initially just thought the heads of the screws were just kinda brown but after lifting the tonearm board realized that the entire thing is rusting. Anyone know why this would be or anyone have a similar experience with SME hardware? I've also failed to locate identical replacements locally. And no, I don't take the arm into the tub with me. Thanks for the help.
