Clearaudio Sigma/Sigma Gold & compat w/ SME 309

Are the Sigma & Sigma Gold different carts? If so, can anyone tell me the diff, functionally & cosmetically between the two? Also, what kind of match would these carts be for an SME 309 arm (latest version w/ mag tube)? A search in the archives revealed there may be a problem with the tonearm leads reaching the cart pins? Is this easily resolved? Thanks much for the help.
