Well, I dont think I am wrong! Blue books (cars), Beckett (baseball cards) are great guides and give the "retail" value of the item, but what about to a collector who is really desperate for it? Perhaps the blue book lists your '68 Dodge Charger at $30,000 (i am prob way off...I dont know diddly about the Hazard-mobile!). That car would be worth way more to someone who had been desperately seeking it for years! What I might call over-paying, they might call accomplishing a life's dream!I see people OVERPAYING on eBay all the time, but in some instances, an item may be so meaningful to a person that price is no object and pure joy is their goal.
