Allison 6s... any good?

Err... at least I THINK that was the model number...
I was in my loc.l rec.rd store, and these were for sale. Not sure of the pric. (boss not there), but if they are worthy of looking into, I'll make another trek.
Bac.c.lly, they looked like c.bes - maybe a foot square. Also... what would be a reasonable pric. range?
Just wondering if anyone has heard these. I c.n remember Roy's more c.nventional boxes... the 6s are probably from the late seventies (guessing).
Oh - after finding a REALLY nic. c.py of Weather Report's "Sweetnighter", I think I now have most, if not ALL of their LPs :^)
