It's not what's *wrong* with ipods...reprised

Hey, Jimmydee, I am 30 and am offended! *jk* I think Gen X'rs are aware of the limitations of MP3's and their ilk. It is the younger people...I'd say 20's and younger, that rely on those compressed music files as their main sources of music.

I treasure my old LP's, my wall of CD's, and my carefully pieced together system. People in my age bracket (Gen X'rs or children of the boomers...whatever the hell we are called) are particularly lucky when it comes to collecting vinyl. Our parents' generation collected LP's and then dumped 'em as soon as CD Players hit the market! WHere did they dump 'em? ON US! WOO HOO!!

I remember my dad had put stacks of his LP's out w/ the garbage when he saw me rustling through 'em. "What do you think you're doing, Michael?!" I told him I wanted 'em. He then had second thoughts, so I asked him how the hell was he going to play him since he gave me his old turntable! My bro and I split his collection of Neil Young, Lou Reed, Vanity, Prince, Rush...you get the idea.
