Recapping old loudspeakers. Question on cap types...

I am fixing up my old Pioneer cs-88 and cs-77a models for my teenage son to use. They have been well cared for and in good to excellent condition and all of the drivers are good. I re-foamed the 77a tweeters about 10 years ago.
I am going to recap the crossovers with Daytons. I have read that it is ok to blend poly caps with electrolytes. Is this OK? Also from what I have read is to use poly caps for anything under 30uf and stick with electrlytes for 30uf and above. I am not trying to get fancy or expensive, just trying to get them in top working order for the Metallica, Doors, and Moody Blues that he will jam thru them. These will be hooked to a restored Pioneer SX-980.
Thanks in advance.
As a side note I have read that stuffing the 77a with poly fill will solidify the bass response. Anyone agree?
