That receiver has leaky and poor sounding coupling capacitors. Replace with 200 volt Russian K40Y-9. Tubes for best sound are GE 12AX7.7025 short plate and Siemens 6BM8. RCA 6BM8 with Made in Germany on box is Siemens. Russian 6BM8 are close in performance. Once tubes and capacitors have been replace, the performance is shocking.
