RE: Sony6060, Onkyo TX-2500 Power Cord question

I have not noticed an increase in performance with boutique power cords. Replacing two conductor with a ground type power cord such as a low cost Belden is fine. I would use 18 gauge as a larger gauge conductor is unnecessary. I take the old cord grip and use a solder pencil to melt out some of the plastic in the center to fit the new cord. The melted plastic 'peals off' easily for a perfect appearance.
