Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

It's just an opinion

Listeners opinion only: I feel that that old units were built to deliver more of an enjoyable listening experience. I've had some new gear that I wondered if anyone even listened to it. They were not cheap and obviously a lot of effort was put into them. But holy cow! They made great tone generators but made some lousy music.

I'm not condemning new gear. But it will take a lot more effort to find a stereo that delivers a more musical experience today.

I knew a few electrical engineers in the audio field. My father was the foreman in a company that made transformers. I've actually spoken to a few of those guys that worked in audio. Most were engineers that couldn't see past the numbers. It was a LOT!!!! of politics and number crunching, no doubt about that. But there were a few that did concentrate on the end product. Typically the team leaders were ginormous a$$holes with no concept of what they really were making.
