Vidar Amp $700, Saga preamp $400, Mani phono $130. There is also the Emotiva amp product line, basic amp $299. Thank you for your suggestion for myself, but I have a ARC LS28, HK Cit-II, Merlin Black Magic Speakers - I'm a little beyond LLoyds or Soundesign. To end on a positive note, there are some Class-D amps out there that are inexpensive and get good reviews from what I've read - but I don't track them. Oh, maybe also consider trying to find a Magnavox tube amp out of an old console. They can be inexpensive and sound nice - just limited power. Now that could be a fun project and a worth while project in my view. And yes, I have one for my desktop system. You just have to hunt for one. In closing, I'm obviously not big on spending time with a vintage SS Receiver - unless I get it for FREE.
