My friend has loaned me his GE classic stereo amp and tuner to see if I like it and maybe trade something for it. The amp has the original 6973 power tubes and is a little dirty but otherwise looks to be in good shape, I am going to give it to the tech I use to see if he can find any issues with it. I am not familiar with this amp and I didn't even know GE made separate components. My question before I take it in is is it worth it? Is it a good amp & tuner and what would be a good trade value? I am thinking of trading my Fisher 500 if I like it.
What do you think?
