im not going to lie - i do want good sound and functionality, but part of my interest is in the looks of a vintage silver face receiver. my fave in appearance is marantz. but those sell for triple or so of a brand like sherwood, which seems to present good bang for the buck.

digital tuning is a plus -and for that reason am interested in the Heathkit AR-1515 .

perhaps i should start a thread for opinions on that receiver.
