RE: Vinyl and AR-3's. Anything better?

Very sorry to hear about the theft. Losing 4000 lp's is something that I would have a hard time getting over.

That's a nice rig you have there. The Rectilinear's are really nice speakers. I'm debating getting a pair, although they're the last thing I need.

I hear you about solid state. Overall an easier format, and the right amp can sound very nice. My Crown is like that. People can't believe that an inexpensive "pro" amp can sound as good as it does. I like it better then both my Yamaha B-2 and Adcom 5400. I pair it with a Decware tube pre and the combination really works well.

But there is something about those Fisher tube receivers that always gets me. The 400 and my AR-3 are just about exactly the same era, and the synergy is abundant.
