Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

RE: Anybody using gear 30+ years old that hasn't been restored?

I just redoped my Six's surrounds. A couple of laps each. This morning I could definitely tell a difference in the bass response, and that was very low level listening. Looking forward to turning it up later.

I have a pair of redoped, recapped 5's too, but I enjoy the Six's more. Actually have 2 pairs, one from the second year of production that are sealed tight and sound great. Nothing is being done to them. The ones I redoped are from the late 60's, and will probably break down and have them recapped since they're easy to get into. I'm not expecting any great improvements. Doubt I'll even notice the change like I did after redoping.
