You might have read my posts on the Linn LP 12 which I purchased second hand in 1977.
Recently, after a prolonged 2 week period of running (forgot to shut it off and was on vacation), it stopped spinning properly. Local high end repair guy replaced 5 caps on the presumed Valhalla (never knew I owned one) "not the usual ones" and the table starts slowly, but sounds fine.
Can you comment on how you will "restore" this table?
Where have you been getting the lubricating oil for the main bearing. I found some pretty good stuff advertised from a Brit supplier.
Incidentally, my table is "modified" with heavy rubber bands on motor and other parts including the main and sub platters. The main bearing pad has a teflon piece instead of the stock one.
