Charles,
I cant tell if the CRT is working or not. The tuning dial is stuck on the far left of the display. I do see light at the rear of the CRT through the top. So, it very well may be working and I don't really care if it is or not. I may see if I can repair the tuning mechanism.
I am anxious to see how the tuner sounds.
