RE: Heathkit AA-141A preamp

Well happy to say it showed up in fine form. Been using it for several hours and it sounds really nice. Using it with my Eico HF 87(which I was lucky enough to get a quad of Mullard xf2 EL34's for today as well) and the sound is beautifully full, lots of bass, but good detail as well. Was getting some initial hum, but after moving things around and turning the gain on the Eico down a bit the hum has disappeared. Was using an external phono, but trying out the phono in the 141A and it too sounds very good. Certainly not the last word in fidelity, but in my all vintage rig I'm very impressed. I like these 6EU7 tubes.

Thanks again for your input Michael. Appreciated.
