Don't own a SET, but since it's a wee bit cooler today, decided to take a small step back to tubes with my Heathkit UA-1 EL84 mono blocks. Love these little guys. And just picked up a quad of 7189 tubes to give them a bit more bottom muscle. Sounds great, and like the 2a3's, not a lot of heat coming off them.
