Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

I have a pair, the second pair I have owned.

I sold my first pair, like an idiot. But, I sooned realized my foolhardiness and bought another pair. They are so very good in so many ways. Very non-fatguing. You will find many folks on this site who own them and most are passionate about them, deservedly so.
They work good with solid state amps but better with lower powered tube amps.
I think their shortcomings are a real narrow sweet spot that collapses rapidly if you stand up or move one way or another and a tendency to beam high frequencies.
FYI, there is a forum herein called Planar, which is where you will garner the most dialogue with your Quads.
