I recently acquired a Marantz 18 receiver and use it in my office system at home. I love it. I had a few questions maybe some of you could help me with.
The tuning dial lights are very slightly dim and possibly a lamp is out. I remember horror stories from folks trying to change Marantz receiver lights. Any thoughts?
Also, the tuning dial or back of the glass is smudged and I want it clean. Any tips on the ease of doing this without screwing something up?
Lastly, if I was to have a wood case made, the sides would cover the heatsink fins. Any issues here?
You may can guess I have the propensity of fouling up even some of the more basic repairs. I am not clumsy, just very impatient.
Thanks.
