RE: Vintage tuners

The Sansui and Marantz tuners are ok sounding to me. The Kenwoods, in general, sound better. Here are a few I've owned and can recommend:
Sanyo T35 Plus - just fabulous
Mitsibishi XXXX - can't remember model number but it has a cool rotary dial
Tuner from a Tandbeg receiver - dynamite if you can't afford the Tandberg tuners
Kenwood 5020 - one of the top tuners ever - sometimes you can find them for little $$
Accuphase T100 or T101 - kind of pricey but worth it
