400CX-2 filter caps?

Been spending a lot of time reviewing the threads on the Fisher 400CX-2. I've read where some are using a poly-cap for the 1st cap-filter after the rectifier when refurbing these preamps. What is the reasoning behind that vs a lytic cap?

BTW, some excellent info posted lately on the 400C & 400CX. Thx.
